  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking an OSHPD Inspector to join our team in Los Angeles.

    Skills / Qualifications


    • 10 years plus providing professional and technical inspection services on hospital campus construction, or projects similar to health care construction; must have some hospital experience
    • Ability to review and understand plans and specifications and become thoroughly familiar with them as they apply to the work being inspected
    • Communicate and document work to be corrected and/or completed by the General Contractor in accordance with approved plans and specifications
    • Identifies potential construction conflicts to Project Team and promotes equitable resolutions
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must have excellent critical thinking and decision making skills
    • Must have a valid California State driver’s license
    • Ability to work under the physical requirements for construction sites, such as walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, being on foot for multiple hours at a time



    Certifications in multiple categories such as:

    • O.S.H.P.D. - Class A Hospital Inspector (may be required)
    • DSA Class I
    • International Code Council - California Commercial Building Inspector
    • International Code Council - California Commercial Electrical Inspector
    • International Code Council - California Commercial Plumbing Inspector
    • International Code Council - California Commercial Mechanical Inspector
    • International Code Council - California Commercial Combination Inspector
    • Division of State Architect - Class 1 Project Inspector
    • International Code Council - Master of Special Inspection
    • Los Angeles County - Certified Special Inspector
    • City of Los Angeles licensed inspection in
    • International Code Council - Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
    • International Code Council - Structural Masonry Special Inspector
    • International Code Council - Structural Welding Special Inspector
    • International Code Council - Structural Steel & H.S. Bolting Special Inspector
    • International Code Council - Spray-applied Fireproofing Special Inspector
    • American Welding Society - Certified Welding Inspector
    • American Concrete Institute – File Testing Technician
