  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has a full-time career opportunity for an ambitious, resourceful and experienced proposal manager. This position can be based in our San Diego or Irvine office.


    • The ideal candidate understands all aspects of the proposal development and production process from soup to nuts, and creates partnerships across the business to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive proposal response
    • The candidate will work closely with the senior proposal managers and graphic designers to conceptualize, develop, and integrate compelling proposal graphics that convey concepts and proposed solutions to enhance proposal documents
    • Develop, incorporate and integrate win themes and discriminators into proposal documents, and provide quality assurance checks to ensure that all document deliverables support the standards and procedures set forth in Wood’s policies, procedures, and practices
    • Manage the relationships with the individual Capture Managers and work with subject matter experts (SMEs) as necessary to prepare high-quality proposal documents in a timely manner and ensure all deadlines are met

    Skills / Qualifications

    • 5 – 7 years of proposal management experience, preferably in the A/E industry
    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in the English, Communications, or Business
    • Knowledgeable of Shipley proposal process
    • Understands federal, state, and local agency procurement process and regulations
    • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite 2013 and Adobe Creative Suite 6 are essential
    • Superlative grammar, spelling, and writing skills
    • Ability improve document quality using compelling graphics, format, and accuracy
    • Must be a motivated team player with excellent interpersonal & communication skills
    • Must be trustworthy and capable of exercising discretion on specific pursuits
    • Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision
    • Ability to multi-task and produce quality deliverables, while meeting strict deadlines
    • Knowledgeable of CRM systems and SharePoint
