  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Consultant with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will have experience with the development of Asset Maintenance data and develop maintenance in accordance with relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments.



    • Develop and optimise maintenance tasks
    • Develop improved maintenance task instructions specific to asset equipment for offshore and onshore assets
    • Accountable for quality and timely delivery of discipline project deliverables
    • Develop, review and optimise Asset hierarchies and Bill of Materials
    • Support the review and participate in FMEAs, RCMs and Crtical Equipment Review and Assessments
    • Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific company and CLIENT procedures in execution of work activities. Provide feedback  for continuous improvement of  procedures, if applicable
    • Provide technical support to other team members
    • Support the assembly and integration of equipment maintenance strategy packages (Maintenance Plans, items, etc)
    • Review equipment criticality I accordance with statutory regulations, manufacturer and Client’s maintenance standards


    Skills / Qualifications

    General Skills:

    • Demonstrable balance of offshore equipment operations and maintenance experience and systems design and commissioning
    • Demonstrable knowledge of current applicable statutory discipline specific regulations and industry standards for operating and maintaining industrial electrical equipment


    Job-Specific Skills:

    • Intellectually capable, can apply maintenance theory in a practical context
    • Experience in Reliability and maintenance processes including Criticality Assessment, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
    • Awareness and working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) both as user and in data development
    • Writing procedures and work instructions development · Professional demeanor with appropriate interpersonal skills · Good team working and networking skills
    • Good written communication [writing procedures and work instructions] General 
    • Develop, review and modify maintenance instructions for electrical equipment · Support the development of, review and modify maintenance system build deliverables
    • Awareness of applicable local regulation and statutory requirements
    • Develop, review and modify maintenance task lists in accordance with applicable procedures, inclusive of execution resources required to undertake specified maintenance activities
    • Review and update Asset specific performance assurance maintenance tasks aligned to safety case performance standard requirements · Apply maintenance criticality assessment to asset systems and equipment items
    • Facilitate and support equipment reliability related studies including RCM, FMECA and RCA
    • Identify specialist tools, spare parts and consumables required for maintenance activities where necessary
    • Working knowledge of SAP Maintenance Module
    • U.S. Only: Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.
