  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Junior Structural Engineer reporting to the Manager of Civil/Structural/Architectural Department. This position is located in our Tucker, GA office.  Applicant(s) will have the opportunity to support the structural design of industrial projects such as utility solar power plants, combined cycle generation power plants, pulp and paper process facilities, food and beverage industrial projects, and EPC (engineering, procurement and management) projects.

    Skills / Qualifications

    A background in Civil/Structural Engineering is required for this position. Experience with site development, project permitting, construction coordination, and coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams is favorable for this position. Applicant must have exemplary organizational, written and verbal communication skills. 

    • 4-year Civil/Structural Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree desirable
    • Knowledge of US steel design codes, familiarity with other international codes desirable
    • Experience: 0 to 2 years 
    • From Industry: Commercial or Industrial 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
