  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (Wood) seeks a Senior Environmental Professional to join our dynamic environmental team at our Blue Bell, PA (minutes from Philadelphia) office. The selected candidate will become part of an established practice that provides a wide-range of environmental services to a large portfolio of clients across the Mid-Atlantic Region and beyond. As a member of this team, the employee will have an opportunity to provide senior leadership in the following areas:

    • Business Development Efforts for the Blue Bell, PA office with a focus on Pennsylvania/New Jersey but also the entire Mid-Atlantic Region
    • Environmental Phase I and II Investigations
    • Remedial Designs
    • Remedial Construction Management/Oversight


    The potential candidate will have following areas responsibilities:

    • Lead business development pursuits (targeting prospective clients or industry sectors)
    • Serve as Senior Environmental Professional and project manager in remedial investigation/design projects
    • Communicate effectively with clients, staff and company leadership
    • Provide senior technical review and direction on environmental investigation, permitting, and remedial design projects in line with Wood Quality Procedures
    • Prepare and review technical reports, drawings and presentations
    • Mentor existing staff
    • Participate in local, regional, and national environmental related organizations
    • Assure compliance with Wood Health and Safety policies and procedures and Wood’s Code of Business Conduct

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or relevant disciplines; Master’s degree preferred
    • PE or PG required
    • 15+ years of experience in Environmental Investigations, Permitting, and/or Remediation; a demonstrated focus on business development is a must
    • Previous management of a team of personnel required
    • Strong understanding of PADEP/NJDEP/USEPA regulations and guidelines are needed
    • Must have strong attention to detail and excellent time management and communication skills
