    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Carpenter (Maintenance) to join our team in Durham, NC.


    Pay Rate: $27.06/hr


    Key Responsibilities:


    Performs the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors, floors, stairs, casings, and trim made of wood. Work involves most of the following: Planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments; making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work. In general, the work of the maintenance carpenter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. 

    Skills / Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Maintain valid state driver’s license
    • At least 3 years technical training and/or job related experience
    • Must be able to:
      • Climb/work from roofs, ladders and scaffolds
      • Obtain/maintain proper security clearances as condition of employment
      • Operate boom, scissor, and fork lifts
      • Lift 50 lbs. as needed
      • Walk great distances to perform duties (>1 mi frequently)
      • Work independently or with minimum supervision
      • Work effectively in a service oriented environment subject to changing priorities
      • Work outside during adverse weather conditions and extreme cold/heat
      • Work in confined spaces and on roofs
      • Work in a team environment in conjunction with other technicians and crafts
      • Work overtime as required
