  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Turnaround Manager / Project Manager for the Pasadena, TX area for a four to five month project.

     

    Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.

     

    The TAR Manager will be the lead of multidisciplinary teams working on major projects for leading operators. Key responsibilities include:

    • The TAR Manager is responsible for the success of corporate turnaround project events by managing the organization. This position leads the plant and contractor teams in planning, pre-TAR and TAR execution such that the objectives are met
    • Leads/motivates the leadership team responsible for planning and execution. This team is comprised of members specialist from the plant organization
    • Integrates all operations, capital and expense projects into TAR planning and execution with written agreements on schedule, contracting and materials, indirect cost, etc.
    • Leads the execution team through successful (safe, timely, quality, on budget) pre-turnaround, turnaround, and post-turnaround work
    • Leads the core team in developing post TAR audits and lessons-learned report in a timely manner
    • As a member of the TAR leadership team and even the project group, will participate in turnaround improvement initiatives, peer reviews, developing and sharing of standard work practices
    • Accountable for delivering the planning and preparation phase as well as the execution phase of the TAR in such a way that the Company's TAR premises are met

    Skills / Qualifications

     

    • Minimum of 10 years as a Turnaround Manager
    • Preferably Degree in Mechanical discipline or equivalent qualification
    • Must have proven leadership qualities & be able to organize up to 100 Engineers / Supervisors of different disciplines and manage site organization independently
    • Significant experience using SAP, Primavera or similar tools, and standard Microsoft Office Software
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States of America
