  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead (QAL) who will be responsible for the Quality Assurance Program implementation across a Wood E&IS Business Group.  The QAL has dual reporting to the Group President and to the E&IS Director of Assurance.  The QAL is responsible to implement the E&IS and company quality program within their Group.  The QAL reports Group metrics and effectiveness of the quality program, identifying areas for improvement to the President and Group leadership.  The QAL also provides support to company quality initiatives to develop new programs, roll out materials, and train staff as needed on quality related matters.  The QAL accomplishes these functions through engaging with project teams to determine quality assurance requirements/needs, performing surveillances, assessments, and readiness reviews, as appropriate, and reviewing and verifying applicable project documents and processes.  The role requires interaction with project staff, senior leadership, and customers. Candidates will have experience in quality programs, strong leadership skills, ability to influence staff and behaviors,

     

    Location:

    Any major E&IS office in the East US preferred; other locations may be considered 

     

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Develop an audit program to verify implementation of E&IS and Group Operations Assurance requirements
    • Conducts customer satisfaction surveys and provides results back to Group President and leaders
    • Supports corrective action process with staff
    • Fosters a collaborative attitude with project staff while maintaining required independence of the QA oversight role
    • Presents quality related topics to staff and leadership

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Minimum of a four year professional or technical degree
    • Associate professional level
    • Computer competency in Word, Excel, and SharePoint
    • Professional certifications in quality are preferred
    • Commitment to the principles and requirements of the Wood E&IS Quality Assurance and Quality Management Programs
    • Ability to work independently while meeting schedule and commitments
    • Ability to understand and adhere to safety requirements
    • Strong personal interaction skills
    • Strong speaking, writing and presentation skills
    • Good attention to detail
    • Office, field visits and travel is required for this position
