    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions’ Albuquerque, NM office is seeking a Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineer with appropriate experience to support feasibility studies, planning, engineering design, cost estimates, construction administration and oversight of projects that could involve earthwork, heavy construction, utilities, water quality evaluation, water treatment, wastewater facilities, hydraulics, surface water hydrology, environmental planning, report preparation, alternatives evaluation and staff management.  We encourage you to apply to join our team of friendly, dedicated and collaborative professionals.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare engineering evaluations and feasibility studies, and develop conceptual cost estimates
    • Prepare project planning and reporting documents including work plans, alternatives analyses and technical reports
    • Perform engineering analysis for earthwork volumes, storm water hydrology, water treatment, utility design, pipeline design, pumping systems
    • Develop construction drawings and technical specifications for civil and environmental projects
    • Prepare construction cost estimates
    • Develop or support proposal preparation
    • Provide construction management support including review of contractor submittals and construction oversight
    • Coordinate with and possibly oversee engineering work of other staff members to complete project assignments

    Skills / Qualifications

    • BS in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering; MS desirable
    • 5 to 15 years of engineering design and construction experience
    • Engineer Intern certification (Fundamentals of Engineering [FE] exam) with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering [PE] license in New Mexico within one year, or a New Mexico PE license
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational abilities
    • Demonstrated professional judgment, consistency and attention to detail
    • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to project sites in the southwest US
    • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training desirable
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; self-starter
    • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if required
    • Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
