  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is searching for a Marine Terminals Specialist / Subject Matter Expert to support our Subsea and Marine Structures team in Houston, TX.  This is a contract position

    Key Responsibilites:

    • The role involves a combination of skills including Package / Project Management, Construction / Installation Management, and Interface management.
    • It is expected that the applicant will be fully knowledgeable in floating loading operations and equipment of marine terminals, such as CALM Buoys and SPM Buoys.
    • Interface with Primary suppliers of floating marine terminals to solicit product specifics
    • Facilitate meetings between floating terminal suppliers and stakeholders
    • Assist project team as required

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Engineer with a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Ocean, Subsea Engineering or other similar disciplines relating to Offshore Oil and Gas from a recognised university.
    • Minimum of 10 years of Experience in the Offshore Oil and Gas industry. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with Import /Export Marine Terminals, Tankers loading/offloading and mooring facilities.
    • Experience with Fabrication/Construction/Installation/Commissioning/Operations of Marine Terminals would be beneficial.
    • Chartered Engineer or working towards chartered status desirable.
    • Proven ability to communicate and present at all levels.
    • Experience in developing manhour budget estimates for work scopes
    • Strong communication and report writing skills
    • Capable of representing the company and the client in a professional manner
