    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. currently has a career opportunity available for a Construction Services Manager with our Jacksonville, FL team to lead and grow our CEI and CMT business in the Northeast Florida area.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and grow our CEI and CMT business line
    • Assume responsibility of soliciting FDOT opportunities via prime or sub contract
    • Technical expertise in assessing the behavior/ performance of construction materials including soils, asphalt, concrete, stone, and rock
    • Familiarity with laboratory tests and field NDT methods
    • Oversee Laboratory Quality System / Assurance
    • Preparing proposals and estimates for new projects
    • Reviewing technical work and reports prepared by others
    • Managing projects so that schedules and budget are met
    • Building a competitive and productive team of CEI and CMT technicians and supporting staff
    • Business development with government agencies, suppliers, materials manufacturers, A/E firms, attorneys, contractors, developers, etc.  

    Skills / Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural or Materials Engineering
    • 10+ years of progressive experience working in the geotechnical, materials, or CEI industries
    • PE certification required with ability to perform as a Senior Project Engineer / Project Administrator on FDOT CEI Projects
    • Familiar with FDOT District 2.  Districts 3 and 5 would be a plus
    • Preparing scope of work and pricing (proposal effort) for projects
    • Managing the budget, schedule, and technical quality of projects
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Initiative to interact with clients and internal CEI/CMT resources on a regular basis
    • Self-motivating to meet individual goals and maintain accountability
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
    • Periodic visits to construction or work sites to perform inspections  
    • Must pass drug test, MVR and background check
    • Ability to work in varying environments (office, lab and field settings)

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift 50 pounds
    • Able to work outside for portions of the day during all seasons
