    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions currently has an opportunity available in our Kennesaw, GA office for a Subcontracts Administrator. This position requires ability to work well with many different project team members across the U.S. to ensure all work meets our quality and financial standards. Position is ideal for an individual contributor ready to take next step and lead a team.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Will direct procurement efforts for project team supporting projects for United States Postal Service (USPS);
    • Implement established subcontracts management process, systems, and methods
    • Direct and coordinate efforts of other team members preparing, issuing, and evaluating Requests for proposals (RFPs) to suppliers and subcontractors supporting USPS projects
    • Award subcontracts and/or purchase orders and modifications of varying dollar value, risk, creativity and complexity for services and commodities for offices assigned by supervisor to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures and good business practices
    • Commit subcontracts/purchase orders and maintain proper controls to monitor vendor/contractor/supplier performance and conformance to commercial terms and conditions
    • Evaluate vendor/contractor/supplier, identify problems, initiate or recommend corrective action
    • Manage / explain contracting policies and procedures to requestors on respective project teams
    • Ensure proper handling of subcontracts, support documentation and related files
    • Participate in internal self-audits of the subcontracting process
    • Prepare subcontracting status reports
    • Interface with IT, insurance, tax, health and safety and other applicable departments as required
    • Maintain direct liaison with field engineers to ensure proper subcontract administration
    • Interact with engineering/construction staff to monitor revisions and amendments; attends meetings to ensure understanding between clients and suppliers

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business-related field
    • 7-10 years of related experience, specializing in Subcontracts/Procurement
    • Knowledge of contracting and procurement policies and procedures, and how to apply them, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) preferred
    • Demonstrated effectiveness in prioritizing multiple tasks, monitoring progress, and managing efforts to meet deadlines
    • Demonstrated effectiveness in working with others in a multifunctional team
    • Guide and train more junior staff
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Experience handling large, multi-task projects
    • Attention to details
    • Experience working with diverse project teams
