    Key Responsibilities


    • Independently performs detailed roadway design for urban and rural roadway projects
    • Will utilize Microstation and InRoads for roadway design and will oversee and direct the work of technicians and other engineers
    • Coordinates the various disciplines of roadway projects, including design, grading, utility coordination, quantity calculations. Coordinates with bridge and hydraulics engineers
    • Develops plan sets, specifications, cost estimates, and writes reports
    • Attends and actively participates in client meetings
    • Assists in developing marketing proposals
    • Assists in training junior staff
    • The successful candidate may take on a project management role

    Skills / Qualifications

    • BS degree in Civil Engineering
    • 4 to10 + years of experience in roadway design
    • EIT required.  PE in Colorado preferred
    • Strong technical capability in transportation engineering
    • Proficient in Microstation, InRoads. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
    • Experience in developing CDOT roadway plans according to the Project Development Manual and a thorough knowledge of applicable design, plan preparation and CADD standards
    • Demonstrated consistency and attention to detail; proven track record successfully completing small and/or large scale projects
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to communicate and work effectively with other team members on large multi-discipline projects
    • Must pass drug test, background check and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
