  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Lead with experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This is a Slope based position that will rotate on a 2/2 or 3/3 basis. The Lead is responsible for assigned construction scope of work which includes planning, coordination and communication of activities to Superintenent and Construction Manager.

     

    • Organizing personnel, equipment, materials and logistics in an effective manner to achieve construction targets and budget
    • Providing leadership to personnel in an effective and safe manner to ensure best utilization of personnel available and to ensure Control of Work (eg. Permit to Work) system is strictly adhered to
    • Quality assurance and control for all project integrity related activities
    • Maintaining confidentially when required on matters concerning personnel, client and company business

     

    • Representing Wood in all matters on the North Slope and to liaise with BP management for same
    • Providing input to the construction plan including progress updates and completion forecasts
    • Participate and encourage adhoc labor personnel to participate in client safety programs
    • Foster an environment of openness, trust and honesty in support of Woods Core Values

    Skills / Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Five (5) years of oil and gas experience

    Desired Qualifications:

    • 5 years North Slope experience

    • Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
