  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our project team in Columbus, GA. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing small construction projects in support of integrated facilities management project for key client. Will manage multiple projects of different types simultaneously.  Author work plans, cost estimates and proposals for construction projects.  Will be responsible for project from inception though completion. And other duties as assigned by Project Manager.


    Core Duties:

    • Define scope of work based on client input
    • Develop requests for proposals based on scope of work
    • Obtain quotes from potential vendors and subcontractors for requested work
    • Develop cost estimate and proposal for submission and approval by client
    • Prepare acquisition forms to initiate subcontracts, rentals, and material purchases
    • Track acquisition progress through award to ensure timely completion of work
    • Manage subcontractors to ensure delivered product meets the client-approved scope of work safely
    • Track project performance to ensure on-time completion
    • Manage any change that occurs
    • Ensure all client and company security and safety are followed at all times
    • Attend meetings to communicate project status

    Skills / Qualifications

    Education and Experience Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or five years of related experience
    • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word, and the ability to read and work with plans, specifications and construction schedules is required
    • Interact regularly with client and must have highly effective written and oral communication skills - Must have a keen grasp of interpersonal and impact awareness; demonstrated resilience, diplomacy, influence, relationship building, and problem-solving skills in a variety of situations; and the ability to productively assemble, engage, and lead cross-functional teams
    • Must exhibit extremely effective interpersonal skills, communication skills, and the ability to interpret and relate company policies and regulatory controls to project objectives
