  • Overview / Responsibilities

     

    Wood is currently recruiting for a team of Maintenance Mechanics for a TAR (turnaround) in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa.

     

    The start date for this TAR around 25 February 2019 for a 4-5 week duration.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    Installs, removes, inspects and repairs valves, piping, compressors, pumps, meters, and pneumatic and hydraulic controls using hand tools and power tools.

     

    Installs, removes, inspects and repair mechanical spare parts such as bearings, seals on typical mechanical equipment.

     

    The ability to operate hydraulic bolt torqueing equipment and experience with manual rigging techniques with chain falls and coma-a-longs.

    Skills / Qualifications

    Candidates should be fully qualified Mechanics with a high level of

    experience working in the oil and gas industry.

     

    Previous TAR or shutdown experience is preferred.
