  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently sourcing for a Leave Administrator (Contract) to join our team in Houston, TX.

     

    Our People & Organization (P&O) manages all people activity, including compensation, benefits, mobility, employee relations, recruiting, talent development and information systems. Everything People (EP) is a one-stop P&O support center for employees and leaders that focuses on effective and efficient execution of end-to-end people processes for the Americas region.

     

    The Leave Administrator will work within the benefits administration team and partner with carriers to assist with the administration of leave of absence programs.

     

    Skills / Qualifications

    Skills

    • Administer all leave programs (FMLA, disability, medical, and personal leave), including updating HRIS
    • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
    • Serves as the central point of contact for the administration of all leave programs
    • Educates employees on their rights under FMLA, provides and follows up on the return of appropriate paperwork, updates employee statuses within the HRIS, and collects benefits premiums as necessary ensuring a smooth and efficient coordination with all parties
    • Maintains effective communication with the employee, manager, and payroll department during the leave process
    • Ensures the accuracy of benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
    • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data and run reports from employee database as requested
    • Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files; performs paper and system audits as necessary

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years experience in FMLA administration and coordination of benefits
    • 2+ years of experience in HR
    • Experience in the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry preferred
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources preferred or commensurate work experience
    • Certification (CRP, GPHR, GMS) a plus
