  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking 4 GIS Interns to join our team in Kennesaw, GA.

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Map production to support a facilities inspection project
    • Performs standard or routine calculations and map production
    • May, under supervision, evaluate or analyze the compiled information following standard methods or specific instructions
    • Recognizes and identifies discrepancies in results obtained in such assignments and follow up through a series of related steps or procedures, as directed by more senior personnel
    • Responsible for ensuring the Firm’s administrative and financial policies and procedures as well as the methods and procedures specific to his / her specific discipline are followed
    • Understands and applies safety requirements
    • Other duties as assigned

    Skills / Qualifications

    Skills Qualifications

    • 0 – 2 years of GIS work experience
    • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in GIS or Geography, or related field with GIS certificate
    • Experience in ArcGIS Suite 10.X or greater
    • Must have sound written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to establish effective working relationships
    • Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor or project manager regarding work assignments
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Will be required to follow all applicable health and safety procedures associated with work environment

    Physical Job Requirements

    • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
    • Must be able to submit verification of legal right to work permanently in the United States
    • A commitment to Health, Safety & Environment through compliance with all policies and procedures and completion of all required training
    • Ability to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to work long hours at the computer
