  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently seeking a Project Clerk to be based from our Springboro, OH office. This position plays an important role to the overall success of the Finance and Operations teams. As part of the accounting department, this person will compile data, compute fees and charges, and prepare invoices for billing purposes. Duties include computing costs and calculating rates for goods, services, and shipment of goods; posting data; and keeping other relevant records.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Gather all receipts for sub-contractors
    • Review weekly timesheets against entries made by the field Timekeepers
    • Create billing invoices in Oracle’s Voyager system
    • Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
    • Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered
    • Review documents such as purchase orders, sales tickets, time sheets, to compute fees or charges due
    • Perform bookkeeping work, including posting data or keeping other records concerning costs of goods or services or the shipment of goods
    • Keep records of invoices and support documents
    • Resolve discrepancies in accounting records
    • Contact customers to obtain or relay account information
    • Compute credit terms, discounts, shipment charges, or rates for goods or services to complete billing documents
    • Other duties as assigned

    Skills / Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or BA/BS in accounting is preferred
    • A Minimum of three {3} years of experience in billing, payroll or related field with job costing experience
    • Basic mathematical skills are required; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
    • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Word and Outlook
    • Advanced skills using Excel and accounting software; preferably Oracle’s Voyager software
    • Must have the ability to successfully complete pre-employment screenings including a drug test, criminal background check, and credit check

    • Regularly required to talk or hear, and to use hands to feel or handle keyboards and documents

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
