  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for Environmental Specialists at our various project locations in Texas.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides Environmental Pipeline Inspection related services to ensure contractors are meeting client/ Federal & State regualtions and project requirements.
    • Monitors and coordinates Environmental and related activities that occur between Client, Project Management team and Constructor
    • Prepares technical papers and reports to record actions taken to address certain environmental issues and remedies
    • Interfaces with involved agencies to address compliance with all regulations
    • Forecasts and addresses environmental project issues
    • Assures all safety requirements are met during changes to project scope
    • Performs analysis and benchmarking for corrective actions to be taken
    • Will be required to work outdoors on the right of way

     

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Well informed with project drawings, specifications and procedures
    • Conducts environmentally related communication between project management team and the appropriate environmental entities
    • Five years of experience in pipeline and station construction/inspection projects
    • 2 – 5 years professional experience in Environmental Pipeline Inspection required
    • Experience interfacing with various Federal & State Environmental agencies
    • Experience with operating equipment in wetlands and waterbodies a plus
