  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently seeking a GIS Specialists that will assist in developing, updating, analysing, and managing GIS data.  A serious candidate for this opportunity must be a self-starter, require minimal supervision, work well under pressure, and perform to meet schedules and deadlines.  The desired candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team with different disciplines.

    This candidate must know how to work with large databases including multiuser geodatabases (SDE).

    Skills / Qualifications

    Required

    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Technology, or related field
    • Fluent in ArcGIS Suite 10.X or greater
    • Knowledgeable in ArcGIS Server, Portal, and ArcGIS Online
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Computer literate with excellent organizational skills
    • Skilled in the acquisition of publicly available GIS data
    • Knowledgeable in coordinate systems and projections
    • Fluent in Microsoft Office products
