  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Word Processor to join our dynamic team in Gainesville, FL. Are you looking for an opportunity to work with a worldwide company with an established team of professionals? We encourage you to apply for this position.

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Prepare intermediate and complex reports, letters, manuals, presentations and memoranda using personal computer
    • Check, proofread and correct own and others word processing output

    Skills / Qualifications

    Basic/Required Qualifications

    • College Degree or High School Diploma (preferred degree in English, History or
    • Science)
    • 3+ years of related experience preferred
    • Full proficiency with advanced, multi-function word processing software
    • Ability to work well as part of a team
    • Typing speed of 45+ WPM (corrected)
    • Ability to comprehend a routine range of business terms and vocabulary and basic engineering and scientific terminology

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); Microsoft
    • Word will be used extensively
    • Proficiency with Adobe CS5 (PhotoShop, lnDesign and Illustrator) preferred
    • Applicant should have experience with different types of image formats and the use of
    • Adobe Acrobat for creating PDFs
    • Document layout and design experience required
    • Position will require independent work designing layouts for proposals and scientific reports using material, graphs and figures provided by technical staff

    Physical Demands

    • Work day will be in a professional office setting with standard work station
    • Position may require work during non-standard work week in excess of 40 hours based on workload and deadlines
    • Typical work week is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm but may include occasional weekend work based on workload and deliverable deadlines
