  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is recruiting for a temporary Administrative Assistant for our  Construction Site located on Anderson Air Base, Guam, USA. The Administrative Assistant will work under the general supervision of the Safety Department Manager and provide administrative support in all capacities needed. The Administrative Assistant may provide administrative support to other departments on an as needed basis. This is an assignment with a term of approximately 22-24 months, unaccompanied.  Preference will be given to candidates local to Guam.

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
    • Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports
    • Compile, copy, sort, scan and file records of office activities, training records, employee certifications, equipment records, inspections and audits
    • Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, and personal computers
    • Assist with inventory and maintenance of materials, supplies, and services
    • Provide general administrative and clerical support to other departments
    • Research safety related concerns, topics and request
    • Keep organized with a calendar for follow up requirements
    • Maintain inventory of safety supplies and forms and order items as needed
    • Complete requisition and follow through on deliveries
    • Maintain employee listing and monitor drug testing administration
    • Compile weekly project statistical reports
    • Maintain safety communique postings on communication board and in the lunch room
    • Attend weekly safety meeting, summarize and distribute meeting notes
    • Attend safety committee meeting, compile notes and distribute

    Skills / Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
    • Willing to travel and live on Guam during assignment.
    • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
    • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
    • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
    • Demonstrated organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
    • Able to work a flexible work schedule
    • Some familiarity with construction terminology
    • Have excellent health and current Dental checkup rating of 1 or 2.
    • Bi-Lingual preferred, English and Tagalog
    • Some military/exposure experience preferred.
