  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Consultant with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.  

    The candidate should be a highly motivated technical professional with the ability to work independently and in alignment with a project plan. 

    Has the ability to provide technical support and guidance to others including the development of technical methodologies and procedures.

    With proven subject matter expertise in maintenance management systems with experience of both building new systems and optimizing existing.


    Main responsibilities will be as follows:

    • Development of technical methodology documents and procedures
    • Asset Register and Hierarchy development
    • SCE identification, Criticality Assessment and Performance Standard development
    • Equipment Strategy development using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
    • Maintenance strategy selection for optimum reliability, cost and safe operations
    • Develop, review and modify maintenance document deliverables including Preventive Maintenance routines
    • Provision of subject matter expertise in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems (SAP/Maximo/Oracle EAM etc.)
    • Critical spares analysis and development of inventory recommendations and Bill Of Materials (BOM)



    Skills / Qualifications

    Engineering Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master's Degree with industrial experience in applicable maintenance discipline




    Vocational or equivalent trade based qualification with extensive industrial experience in applicable maintenance discipline


    Job-Specific Skills:

    Intellectually capable, can apply maintenance theory in a practical context

    Experience in reliability and maintenance processes including Criticality Assessment, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).

    Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) both as user and in data development.

    Diligent and dependable in consistent application of established process

    Professional demeanor with appropriate interpersonal skills

    Good team working skills

    Good written communication [technical report writing, proposals, internal procedure, industry papers]

    Personnel mentoring and development
