    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a General Maintenance Worker (HVAC/Mechanical Preventive Maintenance) to join our team in Durham, NC

     

    Pay Rate: $24.16/hr

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems. This position requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as HVAC, plumbing, general mechanical maintenance procedures, basic refrigeration, and basic electricity. Work involves a maintenance procedures of the following equipment: plumbing fixtures, air handlers, exhaust fans, pumps, fan coil units, cabinet unit heaters, and general mechanical maintenance on equipment and machinery.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Maintain valid state driver’s license
    • At least 2 years technical training and/or job related experience
    • Must be able to:
      • Climb/work from roofs, ladders and scaffolds
      • Obtain/maintain proper security clearances as condition of employment
      • Operate boom, scissor, and fork lifts
      • Lift 50 lbs. as needed
      • Walk great distances to perform duties (>1 mi frequently)
      • Work independently or with minimum supervision
      • Work effectively in a service oriented environment subject to changing priorities
      • Work outside during adverse weather conditions and extreme cold/heat
      • Work in confined spaces and on roofs
      • Work in a team environment in conjunction with other technicians and crafts
      • Work overtime as required
