    Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas.  You will be resposible for supporting the Finance and Accounting team on technical accounting matters, tax, risk management and other accounting and business issues that arise



    •  Provide support for complex accounting matters
    • Assist with implementation and compliance of internal accounting policies
    • Maintain accounting for corporate insurance costs and allocations
    • Coordinates customer credit control and analysis with business unit partners
    • Maintain account analyses for various tax accounts in the GL’s
    • Preparation of corporate tax reporting packages and ad hoc tax requests
    • Assist with internal and external audits as needed
    • Other matters as needed


    Skills / Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in accounting - Master’s degree or CPA/equivalent designation highly preferred
    • 5 years minimum of relevant work experience required
    • Familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP
    • Basic understanding of insurance
    • Working knowledge of indirect and corporate taxes
    • Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks with various team members
