    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking a Site Civil and Environmental AutoCAD Technician to join our dynamic water resource team in Gainesville, FL.


    Do you have experience using AutoCAD for environmental and civil engineering projects and enjoy working in a team environment? We have an excellent career opportunity for an individual with technical skills and experience using AutoDesk Civil 30 2017.   In this position you will assist with developing engineering design plans for water resources and site civil construction documents using AutoDesk Civil 30 2017. 


    Key Responsibilities 

    • Have a site civil background and understand topographic alterations and drainage flow patterns
    • Be proficient with the use of AutoDesk Civil 30 2017 to prepare site plans, which include modifications such as dikes, water control structures, stormwater treatment ponds, stormwater conveyance systems, and Low Impact Development Best Management Practices
    • Be proficient with the use of surfaces and contour sets for project layouts and quantity estimates, including cut and fill volume quantities
    • Must have strong technical skills and experience to help deliver quality products to customers in an expanding marketplace
    • Experience preparing water resource project plans and developing construction bid documents
    • Must be able to instruct others in the use of AutoCAD and plan development
    • Must be able to assist with the preparation of supporting materials for proposals
    • Strong commitment to company’s “Beyond Zero" safety program; follow company safety standards, site safety standards and maintain safe workplace practices

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 to 8 years of experience required
    • Must have consulting experience
    • Knowledge in site civil projects and construction bid packages
    • Must be proficient in AutoCAD / AutoDesk Civil 30 2017
    • Formal education and/or training with AutoCAD and Civil 30 is a plus
    • Understanding of the following software a plus: ArcGis and various hydrologic modeling software such as CPR and HEC-RAS
    • Proficiency in using the Suite of MS Office products
    • The position is located in the Gainesville, FL office
    • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
