  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently seeking a Project Analyst to provide support on a large multi-million dollar construction project located on Guam. Work with the Project Controls Manager and Project Managers to analyze project progress and performance. Responsibilities include developing and managing cost tracking systems and tools to provide effective management of project execution. Provide support as well as recommendations to the Program Manager, Project Managers and Project Management Teams. This position will involve assignment to Guam. Ideal candidate will come with infrastructure project experience (either civil, vertical construction and/or US Governmental project experience).  Preference will be given to local candidates in Guam.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Project/Contract Cost Tracking and Control on infrastructure/civil projects.
    • Ensure the accuracy of financial information produced
    • Review and track client invoices; work with the Project Manager to correct and finalize invoices and monthly status reports
    • Develop and implement reports of project expenditures
    • Forecast anticipated project completion costs using reports and analyses of financial commitments and project progress evaluations
    • Develop, evaluate and implement project control systems, tools and reports
    • Monitor client payments and assist in collection activity
    • Review project expenses, subcontractor and client invoices, and related accounting transactions
    • Support Operations with billing, backup, and problem resolution
    • Ability to interface and interact with Management and Client Representatives at all levels
    • Arrange meetings and record minutes when required
    • Maintaining consistency in project documentation for format and content, including editing and proofreading documents

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Degree in business-related discipline; Accounting emphasis preferred
    • 5+ years of related civil/concrete experience with an engineering, consulting, or professional services company desired
    • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, business administration, and project management practices
    • Advanced computer and word processing skills using MS Office applications including SharePoint
    • Knowledgeable in US Government contract terms and guidelines, and understand budget requirements
    • In depth understanding of client contractual requirements and ability to translate to assist project and program management team
    • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to coordinate several high-priority deadlines simultaneously
    • Ability to demonstrate flexibility when dealing with changing priorities
    • Excellent organizational & prioritizing skills with the ability to multitask
    • Exhibit an extremely high level of professionalism and superior attention to details
    • Exceptional client relations and customer service skills
    • Able to demonstrate sense of initiative and ownership
    • Aptitude to exercise foresight as well as good business judgment to anticipate and solve problems with minimal oversight
    • Energetic, self-motivated and quick to learn with a focus on continuous improvement
    • Ability to work in a team or independently in a multi-disciplinary team environment
    • Maintain confidentiality at all times
    • Must pass background check for US military base access
