  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for our office located in Houston, TX. 


    This position will be responsible for the proper and timely recording of financial transactions to the general ledger, monthly review project margins and working capital initiatives. In addition, the Financial Analyst will participate in the budgeting and forecast process.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Review and record SBU’s financial transactions for month end financial statement preparation.
    • Prepare month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing schedules of the assigned entities
    • Analyze project performance to determine necessary accruals/corrections for review with business leaders
    • Provide variance analysis of actuals vs. budget/forecast
    • Perform risk assessment of key projects and customers
    • Ensure proper lump sum revenue recognition
    • Serve as a liaison between project controls and operational leads to ensure project set up and forecasts updates.
    • Prepare Financial Dashboard and working capital analytics
    • Assist with annual budget & forecast preparation of the assigned entities
    • Process Improvement initiatives and training of accounting staff as needed.
    • Various special projects

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relative experience required
    • CPA desirable
    • 5 years of experience in accounting/finance
    • Supervisory Experience
    • Oracle Experience desirable
