  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Senior Design position.  Responsible for the technical direction of design work.  Reviews and checks the work of less experienced Designers.  Assigns and schedules work and is responsible for the progress and technical quality of drawings and designs produced by assigned organizational resources.  Consults with other experts as needed. Technically supervises a team of designers and drafters assigned to a project or provides advice and assistance in area of expertise.

     

    Essential Job Functions:

    • May serve in an individual contributor role as a technical expert planning, scheduling and completing broadly defined and/or technically complex design assignments. 
    • Recognizes the need for and requests help from the Design Supervisor or the Drafting Manager when needed. 
    • Develops plans, evaluates and recommends solutions for difficult problems. 
    • Suggests and justifies and implements design improvements. 
    • Work requires comprehensive knowledge in areas of expertise and good understanding of how (discipline) design integrates into and impacts the complete project.
