    With continued success and organizational growth, Wood is seeking a seasoned Team Lead Operations for our Asset Management and Operations Services department based in Austin, Texas[1].

    As an experienced leader you will bring a passion for developing strategic goals and undertake the smooth daily management of the team.  This position is an integral part of the Asset Management and Operations Services group, which offers engineering consultancy services in the areas of:

    Asset Management and Optimization  |  Site Management  |  Drivetrain Equipment Reliability and Failure Analysis  |  Electrical Works and Balance of Plant Reliability and Failure Analysis  |  Fleet Performance  |  Inspection Services  |  Reliability and Availability Modelling  |  Inflow Conditions Assessments  |  Lifetime Extension Analysis and Load Modelling

    Location: USA, preferably Austin, TX


    Our successful candidate will assume the leadership role for the team and will oversee work across a range of areas such as:

    • Failure investigations / Root Cause Analysis
    • Characterization of inflow conditions and resulting fatigue loading and suboptimal performance
    • Involvement in development and execution of post-warranty term operating strategies
    • Involvement in the development and implementation of asset integrity management (AIMS) programs 
    • Involvement in the development and executing of integrity inspection programs
    • Oversee reliability, availability, and maintainability modelling
    • Involvement in the optimization of plant operations and maintenance programs
    • Prepare written reports of investigation findings and recommend methods for rectification
    • Support project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control
    • Provide technical direction and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and legal standards

    Skills / Qualifications

Providing inspiration and guidance, while empowering the team to develop to their potential.  As well, a systems level understanding of wind turbine and balance of plant technology will empower our candidate to engage technical engineering consultancy groups across the wider Wood team. We are looking for a person of passion and integrity with effective communication skills and broad based technical competence.

    • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical / Mechanical Renewable Engineering
    • Relevant hands-on experience in renewables, mechanical and/or electrical related (or similar) position
    • Wind energy and PV experience highly regarded
    • Project management capability – ability to work within project, budget, schedule and resource constraints
    • Committed to working in a client-focused and high service-orientated business to provide engineering solutions
    • High level English literacy and report writing skills
    • A high regard for, and practice of, safety and health at all times
    • Ability and willingness to travel to various sites and locations across the USA, including limited international travel as required
    • Excellent computer skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project. Matlab, Python, R or other coding experience highly regarded.
    • Must be eligible to work in the USA.
