  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is seeking a Principal Corrosion Engineer to manage small to medium-sized projects, and provide consultancy internally and externally on specialist engineering disciplines. He/she must ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.



    •  Issuing of Technical Reports
    • Development and submission of proposals
    • Understanding of external corrosion phenomena in offshore and onshore applications, including Corrosion modelling, Materials selection and Corrosion inhibitor selection and testing
    • CP design and corrosion coatings selection and application
    • Identify and/or define criticality.
    • Develop risk based assessments and RBI programs
    • Involvement with industry associations and academic institutions
    • Maintain reimbursability throughout the year
    • Develop and support staff technical mentoring system
    • Compliance with the company’s Quality and HSE policies
    • Achieve company goals / personal KPI’s

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Engineering Degree, BS, MS Corrosion, Materials or Chemical
    • Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in upstream and/or O&G processing (Refinery/Petrochemical)
    • Understanding of fluid stream chemistry and related corrosivity for offshore and onshore applications
    • Ability to work effectively across technology functions and within multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical design, flow assurance, fabrication and production).
    • Upstream and/or O&G processing (Refinery and Petrochemical).
    • Previous experience in corrosion management – Inspection and monitoring techniques
    • Solid knowledge and experience with Integrity management databases
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States
