  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a GIS Intern for our Nashville, TN GIS Unit. The successful candidate will assist project managers, engineers, GIS analysts, and application developers with a wide array of tasks.

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    Responsibilities for this position include performing basic GIS analysis and creating quality maps, providing technical support to project teams, and producing written and oral reports under the supervision of technical professionals.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Completion of GIS courses or a general knowledge of ESRI products while pursuing a degree (Bachelors or higher) in geography, geoscience, or another related field.
    • Ability and willingness to learn new skills
    • Capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Good organizational, strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Attention to detail
    • Analytical/problem solving skills
    • Must pass drug test and background check
