    Wood Automation and Controls is currently recruiting Electrical Project Engineers to join our team in Warren, MI.

    U.S. Only: Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.

     Seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in Warren, Michigan to perform the following duties 

    • Review Project
    • Review Quote
    • Review Job Specifications
    • Resolve any Quote to Job
    • Investigate Non-Standard Material
    • Control Panel Power Requirements/Distribution
    • Overall System Description of Operations

    Coordination

    • Customer Coordination including commercial issues
    • Field Wiring Coordination
    • CAD Coordination
    • Shop Coordination

    Engineering

    • Allocate Unit Specific EBM letters
    • Review Specifications and Standard Practices
    • Internal Hardwired and Logic Standards
    • General Specification and Scope of Work

    Design

    • Establish Non-Standard Designs
    • Generate System Map Layout
    • Generate Sequence of Operations
    • Review Cycle Time Studies and dimension Switch Layouts
    • Generate Design Package
    • Approve Design Package
    • Design Logic
    • Enter Logic
    • Approve Logic
    • Design Smart Displays that include; Screens, PLC Logic and entering Descriptions

    Material

    • Advance Material Order
    • Specify Mod Box Material
    • Write / Approve Mod Box Material EBMs
    • Write / Approve Panel Material EBMs

    Field

    • Assist in installation
    • Debug
    • Launch/Standby
    • AsBuilts
    • Gather baseline Data Per Spec
    • Complete Quality Defect Report
    • Complete Unit Clean Up Sheets

     

     

     

    Skills / Qualifications

    • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
    • At least five (5) years of experience in the electrical controls industry, or sixty (60) credit hours in Electrical Training with at least five (5) years of experience in the electrical controls industry or at  least seven(7) years of experience in the Electrical Controls Industry
    • Two (2) years of experience must be specific to our industry
    • Proven trouble shooting skills are a necessity
    • Individual must be able to perform engineering responsibilities with no difficulty
    • In addition, this position requires that the individual performs defined Project Engineer responsibilities with no difficulty as well as perform Project Management duties

    ***Travel is required in this position.
