  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Automation and Controls is currently recruiting Electrical Project Engineers to join our team in Warren, MI. to perform the following duties:  

    • Review Project, quotes and job specifications.
    • Customer Coordination including commercial issues
    • Field Wiring, CAD and Shop Coordination
    • Internal Hardwired and Logic Standards
    • Establish Non-Standard Designs
    • Generate System Map Layout
    • Generate Sequence of Operations
    • Review Cycle Time Studies and dimension Switch Layouts
    • Generate, enter and approve Design Packages
    • Design Smart Displays that include; Screens, PLC Logic and entering Description
    • Specify Mod Box Material
    • Write / Approve Mod Box and Panel EBMs
    • Assist in field installation and AsBuilts
    • U.S. Only: Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.



    Skills / Qualifications

    • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
    • At least five (5) years of experience in the electrical controls industry, or sixty (60) credit hours in Electrical Training with at least five (5) years of experience in the electrical controls industry or at  least seven(7) years of experience in the Electrical Controls Industry
    • Two (2) years of experience must be specific to our industry
    • Proven trouble shooting skills are a necessity
    • Individual must be able to perform engineering responsibilities with no difficulty
    • In addition, this position requires that the individual performs defined Project Engineer responsibilities with no difficulty as well as perform Project Management duties

    ***Travel is required in this position.
