  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Construction Manager to join our team. The position will be located near Soda Springs, ID and will operate from June through November for 2 years. This position requires familiarity with industry specific design standards, as well as familiarity with mining, landfill and environmental closure activities related to execution for civil construction, earthworks, HDPE liner and pipe installation and construction contracting and project management.

    Skills / Qualifications

    Required

    • 10 years+ of relevant construction management experience
    • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision making skills
    • Experience with working on mining related sites – highly preferable if experience in phosphate mining industry
    • Commitment to safety
    • Experience in developing and implementing QA/QC programs
    • Extensive experience with construction plans and specifications, and relating that to project scope, schedule, and cost
    • Experience with subcontractor solicitation/procurement support
    • Experience with project planning, permitting support, and project reporting
    • Experience with change management process/scope modifications
    • Liaison between contractors, designers, owners, and end-users
    • Demonstrated consistency and attention to detail
    • Ability to travel and work at remote projects sites for extended periods of time
    • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as required
    • Must pass drug screen, physical, background check and must have satisfactory driving record in accordance with Company’s driving (MVR) policy

    Preferred

    • CCM and/or PMP certifications preferred
    • BS in Construction Management or other related discipline
    • Formal safety training/certification (MSHA/OSHA)
    • Construction experience (civil infrastructure, environmental pond or landfill closure)
