  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent to, on assigned project(s), plan, organize and control company resources and provide leadership, clear direction, and good example to assigned company personnel and craft personnel to achieve customer satisfaction and attainment of schedule, cost, and profit objectives while adhering to safety and quality requirements and company policies. Responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling the day-to-day field operations for the assigned crafts and subcontractors. A typical scope of responsibility would be Field Superintendent or Area Superintendent.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Understand and execute assigned construction tasks within the project scope
    • Understand and interpret plans and specifications
    • Successfully execute projects within contracted schedule and budget
    • Work with multi-discipline engineering teams monitoring and controlling scope, schedule and budget
    • Manage field crews and operation and maintenance of earthwork equipment
    • Respond to field and client information requests
    • Assist in preparation and review for submittals, RFI's and RFC's and make recommendations regarding suitability
    • Review contractor health and safety plans, traffic control and erosion control measures on projects
    • Verify quantities for payment
    • Identify non-conformance issues with construction work and help develop potential resolution of non-conformance issues

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Minimum of 10 years and 1.5 million square feet of experience with slurry trench construction installation to depths over 25 feet
    • Minimum of 15 years of construction superintendent/foreman experience
    • 40-Hour Hazwoper, Hazard Communications and DOT Hazmat training
    • Familiar with Construction Materials Testing procedures and ASTM standards
    • Enthusiastic, self-starter with desire to provide excellent service to clients
    • Physical requirements may require lifting up to 50 pounds
    • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
    • US Citizenship Required
