  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to conduct, review and report on quality activities specified by the Construction Quality Manual and Subcontractor Inspection and Test Plans under the supervision of the Construction Quality Manager.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Monitoring of field work
    • Performs visual inspections
    • Prepares inspection reports
    • Proactively reviews Inspection and Test Plans and any other quality documents for applicability, when required
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Skills / Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 5+ years Quality Control experience required
    • Certification in at least one testing or inspection discipline required. Industry certification or certified training in multiple disciplines preferred
    • Persistent and inquisitive in the pursuit of information; obtains all relevant facts
    • Applies basic knowledge of Company/Project operations, policies and procedures
    • Basic understanding of trends affecting the assignment
    • Strong oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary and grammar
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one situations
    • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external
    • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues
    • Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted)
    • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and other Company policies and procedures

    Physical Demands


    • While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods to perform work
    • Frequently required to repeatedly bend, stoop and lift up to fifty pounds
    • May also be required to walk, kneel and crouch
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
