Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is recruiting for a Senior Wetland Scientist to report to our St. Louis, Missouri office. This is a position which will appeal to individuals with a solid wetland biology or botany education, good work ethic, and genuine interest in career growth within a professional team of wetland scientists and terrestrial ecologists. The successful candidate will lead field efforts and manage projects in the infrastructure and power sectors. Work will be performed to support and maintain project / client compliance with environmental regulations such as Clean Water Act Section 404 permitting, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Wood invites qualified applicants with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of botany, wetland science, or an equivalent discipline with 8-15 years direct work experience to apply for the position.
This role will manage fieldwork, direct client deliverables, and lead permitting efforts. Some travel is expected. This position will support on-going environmental planning and natural resources projects with the following key responsibilities:
