Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. The project manager shall be the person responsible for managing small to large facility-type projects, and in planning, design, co-ordination and control of a construction project from its inception to the time it is completed. He/She is responsible for ensuring that the client’s requirements regarding the functionality and standards are met. He/She is also responsible for ensuring that that a project is concluded successfully. The Project manager is responsible for dealing with any delays that may happen in a project and construction, such as emergencies and/or unforeseen conditions that may occur. A professional architect or engineer license and Project Management Professional certification is desired. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience.


Key Responsibilities


  • Managing scope, organization, budget, and schedule from simple to complex facility projects
  • Manage multiple projects at one time
  • Coordinating and working with multi-disciplined staff throughout the U.S.
  • Planning, directing and coordinating investigative studies and all types of designs
  • Ensuring projects are completed on schedule and budget; and developing contingency strategy if schedule or budget are not being met
  • Determine the best source of resources
  • Scheduling and estimating the time required to complete the project
  • Overseeing the selection of trade contractors and general contractors who are ideal for the completion of a project
  • Supervising or monitoring subordinate employees
  • Overseeing the performance of designers and contractors
  • Ensuring that all safety is adhered to on all projects

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience
  • Professional Architect or Engineer License desired
  • Project Management Professional certification desired
