  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking a Branch Manager/Senior Engineer to lead our Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL consulting business. He/she will manage operations, projects, and lead teams in Mobile and Pensacola.

     

    Location

    This individual would be located in our Mobile, AL or Pensacola, FL office.  

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Maintain and foster a strong Health and Safety culture
    • Work with the Reginal Leadership Team to provide strategic direction for the local business
    • Successfully manage the performance of the operation
    • Oversee the development and monitoring of financial plans
    • Provide leadership in business development
    • Interface with multiple Wood E&I Solutions offices and sectors to pursue opportunities
    • Participate in marketing presentations to key clients
    • Provide engineering and project management oversight and be responsible for delivering engineering projects
    • Recruit employees and see that they are assigned, directed, and evaluated effectively in their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff development
    • Ensure financial controls, quality assurance / quality control and compliance to Wood quality control policies
    • Review and approve contracts and fee estimate proposals
    • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing policies and procedures, and making decisions about the purchase of equipment, materials and services
    • Ensure financial controls, quality assurance / quality control and compliance to Wood quality control policies
    • Capable of functioning independently on office-specific issues and with minimal management engagement, oversight, and/or approval

    Skills / Qualifications

    • BS or MS in Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline
    • 15 years + experience in engineering, project management, and operations management
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead, train and mentor staff
    • Good communication, report writing, interpersonal and presentation skills
    • Understands federal, state, industrial and municipal markets with demonstrated skill in marketing and proposal development
    • Possesses and demonstrates an enthusiasm to develop client and strategic teaming relationships through regular personal contact
    • Capable of functioning independently on office-specific issues and with minimal management engagement, oversight, and/or approval
    • Currently registered or immediately eligible for registration as a PE in Alabama and Florida
    • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
