Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking a Human Resources Administrator to provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and may interface with payroll on some transactions and documentation.


Key Responsibilities


  • Interface with payroll on transactions and documentation
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books current
  • Submits the online drug screen investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks
  • Updates HR change requests and processes paperwork
  • Assists with processing of new hire and termination paperwork
  • Could assist HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR Manager
  • Schedules conferences by reserving facilities at local hotels and/or restaurants
  • Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions
  • Prepares new employee files, maintains current files
  • Assists or prepares correspondence
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience in an executive corporate environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in office related administration
  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to learn HRIS system (Oracle and ADP)
  • Must be advanced in MS Office Suite Programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills. Good punctuation, spelling, grammar and attention to detail a must
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of HR compliance and regulations and or course work / seminar attendance in HR related areas is helpful
  • Ability to administer Oracle is a plus
  • Role requires detailed administration and excellent organizational skills
