  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is seeking a Senior Civil / Water Resources Engineer Seller-Doer in our Tallahassee Office to become an integral member of our team in Florida.  


    Key Responsibilities


    The candidate will be a member of our Civil Engineering Team providing a diverse range of client management duties for infrastructure related services which may include:

    • Provide marketing and technical expertise to grow and diversify the civil water resource group in our Tallahassee office
    • Position will consist of approximately 50 percent sales and marketing and 50 percent project implementation and management
    • Managing tasks or coordinating projects of varying size and complexity
    • Directing and supervising technical assignments such as engineering design for municipal projects, watershed management plans, stormwater master plans, system analysis and design, water supply planning, groundwater modeling, and construction administration for water resources projects
    • Preparing and conducting technical review of staff, reports, correspondence, calculations, and preparing technical recommendations
    • Identifying and defining scope, technique, price, and schedule
    • Preparing, directing, and reviewing cost estimates
    • Maintaining effective client relations
    • Developing and initiating business development opportunities
    • Preparing proposals with limited supervision; assisting in preparation of large-scale proposals
    • Ensuring that QA / QC procedures are implemented within design teams

    Skills / Qualifications

    • BS Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, MS degree preferred
    • 12+ years of engineering and management experience
    • Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida
    • Experienced in preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimate, and providing engineering support services during construction of municipal projects
    • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
    • Staff management, leadership ability and mentoring skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals
    • Demonstrated project task management abilities
    • Ability and willingness to develop business from new and existing clients
    • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
