  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is searching for a Programmer to be located in our Durham, NC office. This position requires the candidate to have excellent programming and development skills and the ability to creatively leverage the latest innovations to successfully create solutions for our clients. The candidate will have the opportunity enhance and maintain legacy applications as well as develop new web and tablet solutions. The candidate will work with the development team as well as the clients.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain and enhance legacy web and tablet geo-based applications
    • Develop new web and tablet solutions
    • Develop, modify, and maintain geodatabases (file, access, enterprise, and SQL-Server)
    • Coordinate with development team members coding project tasks
    • Analyze and maintain legacy .NET web applications

    Skills / Qualifications

    Role Requirements

    • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, GIS, or related field
    • 2 - 5 years of experience programming, database development
    • Strong understanding of coding structures and database principals
    • Excellent organizational skill
    • Ability to work alone or with a team

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in emerging web languages and frameworks
    • Experience with C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ASP.NET MVC
    • Experience with SQL Server, SSMS, Report Builder
    • Proficient understanding of code version tool Git
    • Experience with MS Access
    • Experience with ESRI’s products
