Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an exciting career opportunity for a Decommissioning and Remediation Associate Program Manager to join our team in Grand Junction, CO. Will play a lead role in supporting our radiological decommissioning and remediation projects worldwide. The ideal candidate will have skills and expertise in operational health physics, particularly involving decommissioning or remediation projects, as well as successful project/program management, leadership and business development experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages projects, or portfolios of multiple projects, including cost, schedule, budget, staffing and client deliverables
  • Oversees and leads the Project Delivery function and organization, having managerial responsibility for the delivery of all RS&E projects
  • Provides effective leadership for junior and field personnel
  • Mentor junior personnel to grow into more senior roles and responsibilities
  • Provides technical, consulting and project management leadership and participates as a technical consultant and/or project manager on appropriate projects
  • Ensures financial controls, quality assurance/quality control and compliance to Company policies
  • Participates in marketing presentations to key clients
  • Based in Grand Junction, CO, with intermittent to frequent travel to client sites in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan

Skills / Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Engineering or Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Participation in professional organizations, including authoring and presenting technical papers
  • 15 + years of relevant decommissioning and remediation experience
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Strong technical experience, strong project management experience and good client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams, including on large projects and proposals
  • Understands federal, state, commercial and municipal markets with demonstrated skill in marketing and proposal development
  • Possesses and demonstrates an enthusiasm to develop client and strategic teaming relationships through regular personal contact
  • Proven supervisory skills and a leadership style that promotes participatory management technique teamwork, innovation and results
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to travel, including international travel
  • Must pass drug screen, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policy
