Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is seeking a Senior Professional Land Surveyor to join our team in Portland, ME.

 

Key Responsibilities

Abilities to manage survey projects for private - governmental clients as well as the supporting of internal civil, architectural and environmental groups within the Amec Foster Wheeler organization.

Skills / Qualifications

Technical skills should include experience in nearly all facets of land surveying with the following specific field skills: operation of conventional and robotic total stations; data collectors; digital levels; and precision GPS equipment. The following are specific office skills required: some project management and coordination; data manipulation; estimating; deed research and analysis; boundary calculations; construction layout calculations; generation of AutoCAD Civil3D surfaces and contours; preparation – reviewing – checking – QAQC; and if required, the sealing plans.

 

Project histories should be balanced and include a majority of the following items: construction layout; existing conditions - topographic surveys; bathymetric surveys; flood plain; NAD 27-83 and NAVD 88; railroad; airport; hazardous waste - superfund sites; highway and right of way; wetlands; aerial photogrammetric – LiDAR controls; telecommunication sites; solar sites; ALTA / NSPS Land Title Surveys; Utility corridor surveys; municipal – state – country boundaries; governmental and military installations.

 

Registrations or trainings:

PLS or RLS of a specific state

HAZWOPER CFR 1910.120, 40 hour OSHA Certified

GSA Homeland Security Contractor Clearance

CSX – Amtrak – E Railsafe Training and certifications
