Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking Senior Financial Analysts to support the FEMA Public Assistance Recovery Program on an on-call basis. You will perform major financial management actions by providing assistance and guidance in the implementation of regional policies; implementing national functions, operations and procedures; and by facilitating regional activities with other FEMA components and other Federal agencies. The Financial Analyst is responsible for execution, analytics, and financial management support services to Region II management. The Financial Analyst must coordinate with the finance division to leverage best practices and to foster consistency in financial procedures and standards. The specialist must serve as a Lead Financial Management Analyst and a subject matter expert and makes recommendations on critical issues.

Will report to our Chantilly, VA office but work location will vary based on the project.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance in setting financial management guidance for the PA Division on a monthly, annual or longer basis and establishing priorities and work plans to meet the goals
  • Perform broad functions related to projecting project, financial, or performance measure status, evaluating approaches that impact the status
  • Provide advice and guidance to the PA Division management and assists with professional and policy actions related to financial matters within the program
  • Collaborate with high level stakeholders, executives, employees, other subject matter experts and obtain input from a professional point of view as necessary to assist in financial management work actions and carry out planned financial projects and programs

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as a Lead Financial Management Analyst
  • Must be able and willing to travel to projects sites – 100% travel required
  • US citizenship required
  • Must pass FEMA background security check
