Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking Mid-Level Wildlife Biologists to support the FEMA Public Assistance Recovery Program on an on-call basis.

 

This is a fantastic experience to travel to new locations, meet new people, learn new things and help people recovery in their time of greatest need.

 

Will report to our Chantilly, VA office but work location will vary based on the project.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Biology
  • 5-10 years of experience in biological evaluations and threatened and endangered species
  • Extensive experience with ESA compliance for the PA Program and other FEMA grant programs including biological evaluations, preparation of Biological Assessments (BAs), and support for consultations with the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS)
  • Must be able and willing to travel to projects sites – 100% travel required
  • US citizenship required
  • Must pass FEMA background security check
