Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler Power & Process is currently recruiting for a ISBL Area Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible to plan, direct and coordinate the entire construction project, review and assess relevant drawings, specifications and instructions for functional area of responsibility
  • Develop the schedule and budget for construction and monitor for progress
  • Develop or assist the Project Manager with the development of an overall site program for an area of responsibility
  • Ensure, prior to work commencing, that all material, equipment, scaffolding, and other required materials are available
  • Ensure all work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections and certifications are strictly adhered to
  • Be fully familiar with the sub-contractors methods of construction and procedures to resolve any conflicts
  • Coordinate and report on weekly and monthly basis on all progress matters and problem areas
  • Hold regular meetings with the Project Manager, Site Team and sub-contractors to review progress and resolve problems
  • Ensure that the Amec Foster Wheeler Safety Program is adhered to at the site by all personnel
  • Ensure adequate, qualified supervision and skilled labor resources are employed to meet schedule requirements
  • Supervise the final assembly and preparation of project as built contract documents

Skills / Qualifications

  • 10-15 years previous relevant experience
  • Experience as CM on construction projects
  • Experience in scheduling, budgeting & monitoring project progress
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create timely, monthly reports
  • Supervisory experience
