Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a temporary Administrative Assistant for our Industrial Construction Site located in Carrollton, Georgia. This is a local hire for candidates located in Carrollton / Newnan or surrounding areas. The Administrative Assistant is needed to work under the general supervision of the Safety department and by management, providing administrative support in all capacities needed. The Administrative Assistant may be needed to assist other administrative assistants on as-needed basis, depending on current project roster workload. This is an assignment with a term of approximately 12 – 18 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
  • Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports
  • Compile, copy, sort, scan and file records of office activities
  • Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, and personal computers
  • Assist with inventory and maintenance of materials, supplies, and services
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to all staff including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying, etc.
  • Provide information by answering questions and requests
  • Keep organized with a calendar for follow up requirements
  • Maintain inventory of safety supplies and forms and order items as needed
  • Perform any combination of administrative duties as required

Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
  • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Demonstrated organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
  • Some familiarity with construction terminology
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA for any employer other than your current employer
