Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Job Summary: The successful candidate will oversee facility operations and maintenance (O&M) activities at several facilities across the United States. Project Management skills in regards to managing budgets, schedules, and contract compliance are key. The ideal candidate is polished, engaging and energetic, able to create a cohesive team and deliver upon all contractual obligations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance for all of the site managers at each facility including responding to urgent and emergency situations.
  • Ensures that all work performed on behalf of the company meets the highest quality.
  • Ensures that the Site Managers are properly managing their Subcontractors to ensure they perform work in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Develop and review detailed scopes of work for various repair and maintenance activities ranging from routine maintenance to emergency repair activities.
  • Ensures federal, state, local and corporate policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Enforce safety standards to achieve a safety culture where no accidents occur.
  • Evaluates schedules to deconflict work assignments where there are task and resource conflicts.
  • Prepares reports documenting operations and maintenance performance.
  • Must read and completely understand the contract under which the company will be operating and be able to make decisions that ensure contract compliance.
  • Use CMMS to track work requirements.
  • Attend client meetings to discuss that status of ongoing and future work.

Skills / Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • High School education with 5 years’ experience supervising technical staff in a facility operations and maintenance environment.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • General understanding of building codes requirements to the point that the candidate would know whether a task would likely be governed by building, electrical, mechanical codes.
  • Good computer skills – able to effectively use Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge and Experience Desired:

  • Experience with managing multiple locations and multiple direct reports across a wide geographic area.
